  • Gus Holzmueller
    Owner, Dealer Principal

    Gus purchased Pocahontas Ford Lincoln Mercury from Howard Shimon in 1991.  After over 20 years in the auto finance industry with both GMAC and Ford Credit, he decided to try his hand at owning a dealership.  He is a past Iowa Automobile Association County Director, Pocahontas City Councilman, a Planning and Zoning member, served on the Pocahontas Economic Loan Committee and the Rialto Theatre board.  Through his leadership the dealership has received numerous awards from Ford Motor Company including 5 Presidents awards.  He and his wife Bev are active in the day to day operation of the dealership.  He enjoys walking, working out, and reading.  They have 2 children and 5 grandchildren.

  • Bev Holzmueller
    Sales Manager

    Bev moved to Pocahontas in 1991 when she and her husband Gus purchased Pocahontas Ford Lincoln Mercury from Howard Shimon.  Her professional background includes being an officer of Citibank in South Dakota, Office Manager for Unisys, and Director of Food Services for Iowa Methodist Hospital. She has been active in organizing classic car clubs and softball and soccer programs for youths and adults.  She has served on the Pocahontas Chamber of Commerce, Pocahontas Hospital Foundation, and was a Pocahontas Hospital Trustee for 14 years, serving as President, Vice President and Treasurer. She is the mother of 2 children and has 5 grandchildren.  She enjoys walking with her husband, entertaining friends and reading historical fiction.

  • Travis Montag
    Certified Sales Consultant

    Travis was born in Maryland and moved back to family roots in Iowa and the Storm Lake area at the age of 10.  Travis is a college graduate who has experience with farm work and minor construction.  He is a great DIY person.  He enjoys keeping busy.  He recently moved to Pocahontas and is working on making his new house a home. 

  • Donna White
    Business Manaager

    Donna joined our staff in February of this year.  She and her husband Gregg have lived and worked in Pocahontas since 1991.  They have three children and six grandchildren.  A lot of Donna's business expertise comes from managing Chris Cakes Pancake Catering, a business she and her husband own and operate.  She also ran her own hair salon for 20 years. She enjoys creating with paint, fabric and other mediums. She is a kind, happy person who enjoys being around others.

  • Brenda Vrba
    Office Manager

    Brenda has been with Pocahontas Ford Lincoln since 1996.  She has received numerous awards during her years of service.  She was a winner of Ford Motor Company's "Blue Oval Thumbie" award and was featured in the September 10, 2001 issue of TIME magazine.  She was a regional winner of the USA TODAY's Dealer Innovation Award. She also received recognition for her part in the Satisfaction Pays Team Challenge Target. She is a master gardener who has volunteered her expertise in many of the community gardens. Brenda is the person to thank for all the car show pictures on the Princess City Cruise-in and Facebook pages. Brenda is an alumni and enthusiastic fan of ISU Cyclones attending games for many years as a season ticket holder.  She currently serves the Pocahontas community at the Rialto Theater and Home Town Pride.  She and her husband Gary have 3 children and 3 grandchildren

  • Rob Freeburg
    Service Manager, Senior Master Certified

    Rob was born and raised in Pocahontas. After graduating from Pocahontas Area Community Schools he left for college to play football.  During the first year of college he decided that he wanted to do something else.  His family had been in the automotive business in past years and he thought he would try his hand in that area.  He came to work for Pocahontas Ford Lincoln in January, 1993.  After working in the service department for a year he decided that being a technician would be a great career.  He enrolled in the Ford ASSET program and attended school at Hennepin Community College in Minnesota.  After an accident left him unable to return to class he studied with the Parts Department at the dealership until he was able to return to the ASSET program at DMACC and graduate in 1996.  In 1997 he was promoted to Service Manager.  He has continued with his education and training and is a Ford Motor Company Senior Master Certified Technician.  He runs an extremely busy shop and maintains a service satisfaction rating that keeps the dealership in the top 10% in the nation. He has been an active youth sports volunteer in the Pocahontas community. Rob enjoys fishing, hunting, "Da Bears" and lots of family life.  He and his wife Heidi are kept very busy with three sons in the Pocahontas Schools.

  • Terry Sump
    Senior Master Certified Technician

    Terry was born in the Storm Lake area and attended Albert City Truesdale schools.  He was the first employee that Pocahontas Ford Lincoln hired in 1991.  He had just graduated from Northwest Community College in Sheldon, Iowa with a degree in Automotive Technology. Terry is especially gifted in problem solving automotive electrical issues.  Shortly after coming to work at Pocahontas Ford Lincoln Terry started taking ASE classes and Ford Motor Company factory certification courses.  He became certified in all of the repair areas and then continued toward his master certification.  After receiving Master Certification status he continued personal efforts to achieve Senior Master Certification in February of 2012.  Terry enjoys trips with his family.  Terry and his wife Shelly are kept busy by 3 very active daughters and 1 son.

  • Todd Olson
    Senior Master Certified Technician

    Todd grew up in the Pocahontas area.  He began working at Pocahontas Ford Lincoln during his senior year in high school and received a scholarship to DMACC for the ASSET program. After graduation from the ASSET program he continued to work for Pocahontas Ford Lincoln. Todd has a quick laugh and is a very busy person.  His many hobbies include fishing, hunting, and splitting wood.  He and his wife Diane have two daughters in the Pocahontas School system.

    Support Staff

    Dennis was born in Havelock, Iowa and has lived his entire life in the area.  He has held many different positions in the farming industry.  He started selling cars for Howard Shimon and continued with Pocahontas Ford Lincoln when the business changed hands in 1991.  He and his wife Anna have 2 children, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  Dennis enjoys working with men's clubs at his church and in the community.  He also enjoys travelling as long as it's close to home and has a friendly hello for everyone. Sadly, Dennis passed away this winter.  We will miss him.
